Hi everyone!
I noticed that many members have to do with the EasyEDA, on which  I'd like to get some advice. I consider to use it for my professional product development.  I think the EasyEDA could be useful for colleagues, including remote members, to collaborate efficiently and economically; from schematic to PCB and BOMs.
Would anyone who experienced similar professional job (not hobby) share the pros and cons?

Thanks,
Joshua

Hi Joshua,

I use KiCad because that's what I used first and got used to it. I've tried EasyEDA but kept coming back to KiCad because I found it to be (ironically) "easier." As far as for professional use, EasyEDA doesn't have a paid support model in place yet (it seems one is coming in the future). With the current version your libraries will be public so if you have anything that is proprietary then EasyEDA is probably not a good choice. As far as pros/cons versus other free tools (such as KiCAD) they seem to be pretty much similar in terms of features.

Hi Richard,

Thanks a lot for your experience and advice.  The KiCAD is becoming a priority candidate.

Thanks again,
Joshua

Hi Richard,

It has passed many days since getting your advice to start my project accordingly. Yes, the KiCAD satisfies my professional need.  From crafting a schematic, PCB design, Gerber output, and then ordering sample PCBs and SMT service by JLCPCB, all worked well.
Some members gave me precious advice of perspective with other cads. I am grateful to all of them.
