Obviously empowering any dragon makes it better, but just because you can doesn't mean you should. Specifically, empowering (most) dragons takes time, and time is your enemy when you can only recall and empower one dragon at a time. You don't want to be in a situation where spending all your time trying to build up Red Woods because you bred 4 of them for the puzzle event and you're waiting to recall the Kratus you just hatched.
Epic - Epics are good to empower if A) you have no legendaries to work on, B) you are able to breed them easily, or C) have a ton of orbs sitting around (arena or alliance rewards for instance). Pure gets maxed often because Pure is the 'fail' dragon of a Pure/Pure breed for Legacy dragon and Pure/War for Kratus, and at +85% it can hang with 2* legendaries. Gorge gets built because its easy to breed (Primal/Pure), relatively short times to deal with, and its element set is especially useful. Pure hybrids? I don't really feel they are worth the time (longer than Gorge and worse elements), but 5* versions aren't pushovers either. It's not that they are bad, it's just that better is available at lower times to boot.
Legendaries - Empowered legendaries are rulers of the top tier for F2P players, and at 38% per star level are always worth the time to empower, regardless of the dragon. They are especially important for Masters 1 because Heroics are banned, so you need beefy legendaries to clear it. The trick to getting legendary orbs is to target the easily breedable ones, like Kratus (Pure/War lv 16+), or any of the Breeding Sanctuary legendaries (Abyss, Mirage, etc.). The arena chest reward legendaries can grow quite powerful as well (Boulder, Kitsune, Timeless, etc.). I also wrote this infopost about the time, food and orbs necessary to empower a Kratus to 5*, (
13-July-2020: Adjusted all of the boost amounts with the July 2020 empowerment changes, and updated my Common/Rare commentary. Fixed a mistake in the amount of Joker orbs you can use to empower a dragon to 4* (was 150, is 170). Added a link to my Kratus 5* cost post.
I was just doing dragon rescue at a COMMON level but I can't beat it because the boss is level 54 with a 554 speed stat which made it impossible to beat for me because I only have Lv. 35 dragon as my highest level dragon (for now). Also in PvP I got more losses than usual because of this new Speed stat.
My suggestion is to remove the speed stat completely or make an individual speed stat for every dragon based on their description. If this continues the game will remain unbalanced and low leveled players will quit the game.
So I opened one of these and I got the hexed vamp dragon which I believe is the best one I could've gotten. My question is if I should buy 2 more vamp eggs so i have a full team or wait for 2 of those other eggs to buy instead.
A fight ensued ending with Jason as the victor and the dragon retreating to the inside of the hill where Ljubljana Castle now sits to pout. To this day, whenever he feels particularly sour he rumbles and causes the earth to shake. Could this be the cause of the 1895 Ljubljana earthquake? Maybe. ;) Why a dragon who lost his only battle became the protector of the city is a bit beyond me though.
This page is going to be useful for you and more useful if you're a new player. In this page you can learn about all types of dragons like normal dragons, dragons with abilities, dragons with different stats, etc.
The rarities are a really important thing in a dragon because the rarities tell you how strong a dragon is statistically. The best rarities in the game are the Heroic Rarity, the Mythical Rarity and the Legendary Rarity.
Dragon City tasks players to raise their dragons and design a city full of dragons on floating islands. Gold produced by dragons can be used to buy and upgrade buildings and habitats. Farms can be used to grow food, which can be used to level up dragons, improving their strength depending on the dragon's rarity, and increase gold production. You can also breed two dragons that are at least Level 4 to produce a new and hybrid dragon. In addition to raising the dragons, players can use them to battle other players' dragons through League Battles. These battles can award you multiple important resources like Gems and Food which can make your progression in the game faster.
Aside from raising dragons and taking them to battle, players can participate in limited-time events that allow them to obtain new and exclusive dragons. There is a multitude of events that have different requirements to get them.
Once a player has reached Level 27, the Ancient World can be accessed, which is an area of the game where Gold can be exchanged for Crystals (ruby, sapphire, topaz, emerald, onyx, and diamond) which can be collected from mines that can be used to summon and evolve Ancient Dragons. The crafting station is used to craft better tiers of crystals using lower-tier crystals and platinum. Platinum is generated by the ancient dragons similar to how the regular dragons generate gold.[1]
In the game, there are up to 14 element types, and dragons come with up to 4 elements that they can learn moves from. The elements are Terra, Flame, Sea, Nature, Electric, Ice, Metal, Dark, Light, War, Pure, Legend, Primal, and Wind. As of the Ancient World Update, 6 additional elements have been added, which are: Beauty, Magic, Chaos, Happy, Dream, and Soul. As of the 10th Birthday Update, a new dragon element was added, which is Time.[2]
Previously, there were 5 rarities of dragons, which are Common, Rare, Very Rare, Epic, and Legendary. On 15 April 2016, a new rarity of dragons was released. The new rarity was Heroic and was introduced alongside the first Heroic dragon, the High Fenrir Dragon.
