Dear all,
I am pleased to forward photo album of Satyakalam (Karnataka).
This is a sacred place for various reasons, lying somewhere deep in Mandya district (near to Thirunarayanapuram/Kollega/Mysore), on the banks river Cauvery. we had wonderful opportu;nity in 2006 to visit this place.
You will find Swami Desikan in a standing posture (may be the only one), and an Aswatha Tree on the bank of Cauvery. To know more about this one should go back to history about 700 yrs. back.
During the invasion of Srirangam by Malikafur, Swami Desikan and others saved the Moolavar Sriranganathar (the God whom we all worship and Narasimhan and sundar family had worshipped recently) by erecting a wall in the Gharbhagdraham overnight. Some others had taken the Utsavar (Azhahiamanavalan)Ranganathar from Srirangam, crossed Cauvery and in a circuitus route through jungles, reached deep forest near Tirupathy, sinsce Malikafur was keen on destroying everything at Srirangam. Malikafur killed many of the people who were protecting the temple of Srirangam (with 7 prakarams), and Swami Desikan, after erecting the wall, spent a whole night lying amongs the dead bodies and once the army left, he started off in seaarch of the Utsava Moorthy. It was during his journey that he reached SATHYAKALAM
spent 12 yrs., meditating under the Aswatha Tree in Koormasanam.
It is during this time that he composed the famous Stotra ABHITHASTHAVAM, pleading to Lord Ranganatha to return to Srirangam and Save the Shrivaishnavites of Srirangam so that they all may be united. Yes. his prayers came true and Ranganathar was back to Srirangam after 40 yrs.
The reciting of ABHITHASTHAVAM is sure to ward off Beethi (fear).
More details of this great event can be got from a book named THIRUVARANGAN ULA written by Sri Venugopalan (Pushpa thangathuri).
I could not resisist the temptation of sharing this with you, since, next time you visit Srirangam you must recall the heroic deeds of Swami Desikan and others, in saving not their lives but our essence of living namely our deities.
Recently, I had an opportunity to listen to some youngsters reciting Abhithasthavam in Manimandapam at Villivakkam (a daily feature), and when I narrated the above incidenet from History, and also explained a few contents of the Stotram, I could find them visibly shaken.

The damage caused my followers of Islam to our country, temples and population by forcible conversion is enormous.? 99% of muslims in our country are conv erts and only a few muslim sects in Kerala are the decedents of original arab Islamists.? They still continue to plague our county, religion, etc.?

We got independence in 1947 - but when r we going to get independence from these petty politicians? who r out to desroy everything we cherist for sake of power.
