Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2012!
In the new year, Retina India is planning to roll out a newsletter
once every month to inform and exchange information. Besides news in
the field of research and rehabilitation, there are also sections on
assistive technology, inspiring stories about people with visual
impairment who have succeeded against the odds, and a section where
your questions are answered by experts. A section on extras includes
reader's submissions.
In pertinence to our idea of providing opportunities to members of the
community to contribute to the newsletter, we solicit contributions
from anyone and everyone in the following areas;
1. We did it
Achievements by people with retinal disorders and other visual
impairments in the recent past will be included in this section. So,
if you have done something remarkable in the recent past, or know
about someone who have done so, please inform us about the same.
2. Galaxy
Poems, quotes, and other literary pieces by members will be included
in this section. So, please think if you can contribute something.
You need not be a professional, but start trying to write, who knows,
there might be a hidden poet in you.
3. Got a question?
Members' questions will be answered in this section. So, if you have
any doubt, which hasn't been asked on this or other groups, please
write to us, and we will come with a suitable answer. Your doubts may
be from any field, treatment and cure, rehabilitation, technology,
independent living, legal aspects, etc.
Besides the above, please send us something you may want to share with
others. It can be a poem, a photograph you may have taken, or even
just a collection of inspiring works or quotes, please do consider
sending it to us. We look forward to publishing your submissions.
All are welcome to contribute to the newsletter. Remember that your
words can inspire someone to do something in his/her life which
wouldn't have been possible without you. Besides, it provides a
wonderful platform to sharpen your skills in the area of your
interest, and as the newsletter is sent to many reputed people in the
country, your contribution will be worth all your efforts.
Please note that all contributions should be sent only to
