Usinga unique 19" wheel and tire package and LiveWire's electric powertrain, Del Mar is a performance-oriented motorcycle with dynamic ride modes that adapt instantly to road conditions and the rider's needs.

ABS operates independently on front and rear brakes to keep the wheels rolling and prevent uncontrolled wheel lock under braking. Cornering Enhanced Antilock Braking System (C-ABS) is a variant of ABS that takes into consideration the lean angle of the motorcycle

Drag-Torque Slip Control (DSCS) manages rear-wheel slip and prevents rear-wheel lock when using regenerative braking. DSCS functions at speeds over 10 mph (about 17 kph) and works in concert with the ABS-system to balance motorcycle deceleration and rider control.

Traction control is designed to keep the rear wheel from spinning when the motorcycle is accelerating, and enhances rider control and confidence, especially in wet weather. The Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS) is further designed to prevent the rear wheel from excessive spinning under acceleration when cornering.

In 2019, the program supported a total of 1,269 businesses and created 1,399 jobs globally. And in 2020, 9 promising Pinoy startups were chosen out of the hundreds of applicants to join the inaugural acceleration program.

The recent surge in the electric vehicle market is finally bleeding over into the motorcycle space. Sure, there have been a few notable examples of excellent electric motorcycles that have sprung up over the years, like Zero Motorcycles, which exclusively makes electric motorcycles, but only since the late 2010s have bigger brands started to catch on. Harley-Davidson is one of the better-known motorcycle brands that started dipping its toes into the electric world with its Livewire sub-brand.

The Livewire, which launched in 2019, featured Harley-Davidson's custom, liquid-cooled Revelation engine. It was Harley-Davidson's first venture into electric motorcycles and later refreshed as the cheaper and faster Livewire ONE. The all-electric naked motorcycle puts out a claimed 100 hp and 84 ft.-lbs of torque from its low-slung motor, while the 15.4 kWh battery can carry the bike for a claimed 95 miles of combined highway and city riding. Livewire also claims the battery will charge up to 100% in 60 minutes when connected to a DC fast charger.

Of course, Livewire makes as many claims about the speed and acceleration as it does about the range and charge times, but are any of those claims realistic, and how does the Livewire ONE stack up to Harley-Davidson's other production models?

I found it to be more comfortable than the LiveWire One and more my speed. The LiveWire One is an impressive bike, one that I jump at every chance I get to ride, but the S2 Del Mar would be my choice for one to actually own.

Of all the legacy motorcycle companies out there, Harley-Davidson was the first to jump feet first into electric motorcycles. Nearly ten years ago, H-D was already developing its first electric model. It took almost a decade for companies like Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Triumph, Royal Enfield, and so many others to merely start to explore real electric motorcycles. None of those companies have models on the road yet and are only now beginning to show off concepts and prototypes (though BMW can at least be commended for its electric maxi-scooters). So I take my hat off to H-D for being so far ahead of the curve compared to all other major legacy motorcycle manufacturers.

Micah should compare the Del Mar to the Zero SR. IMO, the SR is the most comparable model from Zero to this new LiveWire. The SR has a bigger battery and more range (100 miles at 55 mph), but not as much power and acceleration, with only 70 hp). Pricing is about the same as the Del Mar. I have the dual sport version, the DSR, and it is very enjoyable and satisfying to ride.

I look forward to coming back to you, hopefully soon, with a first ride experience after taking delivery of my bike. Until then, feel free to check out my test ride video on the S2 Del Mar prototype below.

Harley-Davidson is legendary for its V Twin engined, LOUD, if not super fast, motorbikes. So it may surprise some to see them move into the electric world, where rapid acceleration and stealth are hallmarks. But the Livewire Electric sees the iconic brand deliver a brilliant bike, more sporty in appearance than a classic Harley, but still proudly displaying its chunky, handsome mechanics. The digital display fits with the state of the art drive-train that delivers a serious (quiet) shunt. A commendable machine.

The table below shows the estimated time to charge your Livewire from empty to full. For rapid charging, we show the time to charge from 20% - 80%, as charging tends to slow outside this range to protect the battery.

I have a performance issue with Livewire, when i use many times the same component.I already had this issue in the past, and each time I managed this issue by switching off the framework and use Vuejs/api directly.Maybe I do not use Livewire correctly ... or maybe I missed something somewhere.

Question: How to manage the Livewire usage of many identical components with parameters and model data, without exploding the rendering time and explode the performance ?Did I miss something ? Any tips ?

User & Item have of course some relationships, but when I debug them the relationships are not loaded/used (mean I should have a little serialized 'json' object). So I don't suspect the big-lazy-model-loading issue.

I tried to pass the IDs instead of the model, and ask to my component to get again the data. But here, I explode the number of queries (120 with model in parameters versus +1800 with IDs), and I still have very bad performances (7-11s) due to the number of queries.

I used a debug measure before the html code, and this is this part that consume all the time. Not the render() function of the component, not the mount(), but the livewire render from the blade file :(
