Senior Adults Lunch
The RUMC and Calvary senior adults will meet for lunch on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:30 am. Denny’s is located at 7021 NC-751 #901, Durham, NC 27707. This is in the shopping center where highways 751 and 54 intersect. We hope that everyone will come out for lunch and fellowship!
Praying the Psalms – New Class for Lent
Join us on Sundays as we learn to pray the Psalms together during the season of Lent, a season of stripping away all that distracts us from recognizing the God dwelling at our core, longing to make us whole. Who better guides on our journey home than the Psalmists who teach us how to be radically open with and open to God. The class begins Sunday, March 10 and is offered from 5:30-7:00 in the education building at Calvary. Invite a friend to join you!
Community Meal—It’s Heritage Night
The next Calvary and RUMC Community Meal will be Tuesday, March 26. The theme is Heritage Night –Celebrating Diversity Through Food, so come enjoy traditional foods from Greece, Mexico, Ireland, and the US! All RUMC family and friends are encouraged to attend, and the community around Calvary is invited as well. Feel free to bring a friend.
RUMC/Calvary Game Night
Let’s play games! Meet at Mark and Maxie’s house on Saturday, March 30 at 6:00 pm for food and games and fellowship. Everyone is invited, and friends are welcome—if you need the address, please contact the church office. Hope to see you there!

Meet at Urban Ministries on Sunday, March 31 to prepare and serve breakfast.
Save the Date – CROP WALK April 7
The 2019 CROP Walk is on Sunday, April 7th, and Calvary and RUMC will have a joint team. We hope everyone will participate in this important event by either walking or sponsoring someone who is walking. You can sign up at https://www.crophungerwalk.org/durhamnc/Team/View/95135/Calvary-Resurrection
CARVE and Githens Contributions
We will continue to support the Urban Ministries Food Pantry, joining with Calvary in their ongoing gifts to this ministry. There is a basket under the prayer table where you my leave your gifts on any Sunday. Our brothers and sisters at Calvary are accustomed to bringing their gifts on the second Sunday of each month, but RUMC folks who would like to continue the discipline of weekly gifts are welcome to do so.
The Serve Team also plans for us to continue supporting the students at Githens Middle School and will be working with the folks at Calvary to identify a place for collecting these items. More information will follow.
Damascus Road Sunday School 9:30-10:30 Each Sunday
Damascus Road Sunday School IS meeting each Sunday morning at Calvary. This class uses the Upper Room devotional guide as a curriculum, and everyone is invited to join them. If you have questions, Sandra Shepherd is the person to contact (information in the directory).
