Minimum Experience: 9+ Years Mandatory
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Implements changes consistent with business requirements and within established timelines.
· Interprets business requirements and produces information objects to support those requirements.
· Creates and maintains appropriate documentation - designs and implements standards.
· Develops queries, reports, packages, cubes, and other end user applications to meet the needs of the business.
· Uses appropriate tools and technologies to develop and test the logic changes needed by various applications programs.
· Troubleshoots and provides user support for data analytic issues by reviewing program code and data source for flaws in design or integrity.
· Develops and expands knowledge of relevant tools and technologies.
· Uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology to deliver Business Intelligence and Analytics projects through requirements gathering, scope definition, development, testing, and implementation.
· Enhance or maintain existing applications, and the analysis of data problems and implementation of fixes for defects reported in various applications.
Required Technical Skills:
· Strong problem solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills including; ability to relate numbers and calculations to ideas.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools.
· Proficient with Business Intelligence tool sets, primary Cognos.
· Experienced with Business Intelligence tool sets (Power BI and TM1).
· Familiar with Guidewire Policy Administration System (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claims Center, EDW)
· Familiar with some programming languages (example: SQL, HTML, CSS, Java Script, jQuery, Java, and Batch Program).
· Familiar with gathering data using Structured Query Language (SQL).
· Familiar with logical and/or physical data modeling techniques.
· Familiar with Data Warehousing and/or Business Intelligence and Analytics tools, technologies, testing, project lifecycle (SDLC), and best practices.
· Proficient in translating functional business requirements to technical specifications.
