Responsibilities:
You will serve as a bridge between the business segment teams and IT
You will primarily be an insurance product expert very familiar with the insurance underwriting and operational processes.
You will secondarily work with fellow architects in your team to design solutions and therefore must have familiarity with underwriting systems, databases, apps,etc.
You will document forms business requirements, capabilities, specifying the workflow, data, files, and logical operations.
In addition, you will provide recommendations as to how the current state business process can be optimized for efficiencies and effectiveness.
Performs economic analysis of various solutions, also review the market analysis done by the respective business teams.
Understanding of enterprise architecture, systems, digital, integration and data (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)
Present requirement analysis and how it translates into the respective applications/systems w.r.t change and cost.
Should be able to transition the knowledge and the solution to the project teams.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of insurance industry practices, including knowledge of underwriting, rules, processes, and forms used in new business applications.
Insurance product experience. An understanding of requirements needed to design an underwriting system.
Extensive experience in designing solutions for P&C Insurance business use cases span across value chain using modern application architectures and methodologies such as domain driven design, API/Microservices, Cloud-Native applications leveraging AWS/Azure cloud platforms
Understanding and experience in providing digital solutions to insurance organizations leveraging front-end technologies such as React, Angular, any DXP platforms, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
Experience in designing/architecting custom applications using Java/.NET/Python technology frameworks.
Familiarity with No-SQL, Cognitive search, API Gateway and integration/ESB.
Experience and understanding on Azure/AWS Cloud platforms.
Knowledge on any COTS platforms serving forms management, policy administration systems, document management/generation systems/applications.
