Client: Marlabs LLC
Job Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead and manage the Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) team, which is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software and data products within the Databricks environment.
2. Test Strategy and Planning: Develop, implement, and oversee the quality assurance strategy and test planning for Databricks' products and solutions.
3. Quality Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve quality assurance processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
4. Test Automation: Drive the automation of testing processes, including the development and maintenance of test scripts and frameworks.
5. Testing Lifecycle: Manage the entire testing lifecycle, including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
6. Release Management: Coordinate with development and product management teams to ensure that software releases meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
7. Quality Metrics: Establish and track key quality metrics and performance indicators to provide insights into the quality of Databricks' products.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with development, data engineering, data science, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is built into all stages of product development.
9. Security and Compliance Testing: Ensure that Databricks' products adhere to security and compliance standards, and conduct security testing as necessary.
10. Problem Resolution: Oversee the identification and resolution of software defects, working closely with development teams to address issues promptly.
11. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, test cases, and testing results.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in quality engineering, software testing, and quality assurance, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test automation tools, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience with big data technologies, data processing, and analytics platforms, which are relevant to Databricks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Databricks' platform and related technologies is often preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure Cloud may be beneficial.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
