Role: Active Directory Consultant / Infrastructure Engineer

Overview:
Looking for a seasoned Active Directory Specialist to lead a Domain Controller Rebuild & Stabilization Project. Role involves consolidating AD around the authoritative FSMO domain controller, deploying new DCs across multiple sites, validating replication health, migrating DNS/DHCP, and retiring legacy controllers with minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess & stabilize current AD environment (FSMO/DCs).
Deploy & validate new domain controllers (multi-site).
Troubleshoot & fix replication, SYSVOL, DNS/DHCP, Kerberos issues.
Manage FSMO roles, time sync, metadata cleanup, lingering objects.
Provide documentation (runbooks, topology diagrams, change-control).
Required Skills:
8+ yrs Microsoft Active Directory (architecture, deployment, troubleshooting).
Strong expertise: DC build/demotion, AD replication (repadmin, dcdiag, DFSR), SYSVOL, FSMO roles, DNS/DHCP migration.
Hands-on with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Experience with Kerberos, SPN, ADSI Edit, metadata cleanup.
Excellent documentation & project delivery experience.
Nice-to-Have:
AD hardening & hybrid identity (Azure AD).
DHCP HA setup (active/standby).
Enterprise change management experience.
