Job Summary

We are seeking a high-performing Quality Automation Engineer with over 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering to support testing initiatives for a major banking client. This role focuses on technical execution and coordination, requiring you to drive both UI and API automation while working across global teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of cloud-based applications within an Agile framework, focusing on in-sprint automation and robust regression suites.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

UI & API Automation Engineering

• Technical Stack: Utilize Core Java, Selenium, and TestNG to build scalable UI automation frameworks.
• API Testing: Design and execute advanced API automation scripts using Rest Assured and Karate to ensure seamless backend integration.
• Frameworks: Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and manage builds with Gradle.

Cloud & Database Validation

• Cloud Applications: Apply specialized knowledge to test and validate applications hosted in cloud environments, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Data Integrity: Perform rigorous database testing to verify data flows, storage, and retrieval across complex banking systems.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid deployment cycles.

Coordination & Agile Delivery

• Team Synergy: Coordinate with onsite and offshore resources to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
• Sprint Participation: Actively engage in all Scrum ceremonies, providing updates on automation progress and identifying potential quality risks.
• Stakeholder Communication: Assist in customer communications regarding test strategy and execution status.
• Test Management: Utilize JIRA and HP ALM for defect tracking, test planning, and comprehensive reporting.

Mandatory Technical Skills

1. Automation Mastery: 5+ years of hands-on UI and API automation (Java/Rest Assured).
2. Banking Domain: Proven experience working within large-scale financial or banking projects.
3. Technical Coordination: Ability to align global teams and handle technical project documentation.
4. Cloud & DB Testing: Solid experience testing cloud-native applications and performing backend database validation.
