We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Tester with strong experience in ETL processes, Data Quality Assurance (QA), and HR data validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in testing data pipelines, validating large datasets, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of HR-related data across systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end testing of ETL workflows, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency between source systems and target databases.
  • Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for data validation.
  • Perform data reconciliation and identify data discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Conduct HR data testing including payroll, employee records, benefits, time tracking, and compliance-related data.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and HR stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve data issues.
  • Execute regression testing during system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Generate detailed defect reports and track issues through resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong experience in ETL testing and data warehouse validation.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data querying, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience testing HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits, workforce management).
  • Solid understanding of data quality frameworks and QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar ETL tools.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
