I wanted to test the waters of maybe sketching up a REST-Scheduler
spec.

Basically, cron/quartz as a RESTful service to set timers/triggers.

Applications can set a job, and when the job fires, it calls a
postback to the app (or to a REST-Messaging queue...), which does the
actual work. Similar to messaging or tx, have different acknowledge
modes, so the scheduler can determine if the work was successfully
performed, or must be rescheduled, etc.

Does this sound like something viable?

Thanks,

-Bob

Definitely. Sry for the late response.
