Create representations with media type in mind or apply the H-factor and normalize

Hi,

Considering Admundsens H-factor for media types:

When creating the definition for representations, should I keep the media type in mind?

Or should I simply use all elements of the H-factor and "normalize" the elements depending on the wanted media type?

The second option seems more logic as it would consider the H-factor as a convention and apply "mapping" media types on top of.

Any thoughts?
