Hi

I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far and will likely be using Resthub 2.0 on a big API project I'm about to start. The documentation is fantastic, with good working examples and I love how it just works.

It would be very useful for me to know if and when an Identity Manager and OAuth2 (as a service provider rather than client) will be implemented and documented. It seems this was all present on Resthub 1.1 but has not yet made it to 2.0.
I can see that there is a resthub-identity github repo, but it looks like it's still at a fairly early stage with not much development being done on it at the moment and no documentation. Is this where the security side of Resthub will be?

By the way, I'm new to Resthub (and Java itself) so apologies if I've missed something obvious.
Any information/advice you can give me regarding this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi,

Thanks for your feedbacks.

Resthub Identity ( https://github.com/resthub/resthub-identity ) has been recently updated to RESThub 2 and old Hibernate Search has been replaced by ElasticSearch.
Documentation update is pending, will be completed next week, and published on http://resthub.org.

We have a blocking bug on Spring Security OAuth2 + Resthub 2 because we use Jackson 2, I hope it will be fixed quickly :
Feel free to add your +1 in the comments in order to get this pull request quickly approved by SpringSource developers.

We will update resthub-identity with a new resthub-identity-manager webapp that will contain a RESThub Backbone stack admin app with Twitter Bootstrap basd GUI + a Spring Security OAuth2 server endpoints. It will be published in a 2.0.x release.

RESThub 2.0 final is expected as soon as the Spring Security OAuth2 + Jackson 2 bug is fixed.

Regards

Thanks Seb.

Good news to hear that Resthub Identity will soon be documented.
Hopefully the Spring OAuth problems will all be sorted fairly soon too. I've added my +1.

Thanks again,
Steve
