Hi guys, Dima said before we are able to use restfulx's rail3 branch.
Downloaded & built it, installed it like restfulx 1.4.0, but nothing
after that, in fact, throws an error, saying:

sudo gem install restfulx
Successfully installed restfulx-1.4.0
1 gem installed
Installing ri documentation for restfulx-1.4.0...
File not found: lib <------ this error

Firstly didn't pay attention to it, but later realized this doesn't
work. No rx-gen executable after installed, neither rx_config etc
generator, neither rake tasks associated to rx.
If this branch works, at least fxml stuff, I want to test it for
rails3.

Help me please.
Tnx.

Hi Dariel,

None of the generators are yet functional in rails3 branch (but core functionality does work (FXML serializer, action controller/active model extensions, etc).

So things like rx-gen and rx_config are not yet ported but you can use rails3 in your rails3 app provided you do the setup manually.

I can install/build the rails3 branch and don't get any errors on OS X.

Hope this helps,
Dima

Dima hi and thanks.
The real stuff is I'd never touched rails3, just waiting for rx supports this to jump, but wanted to try it for a while.
So I've not got idea on how to setup fxml functionality by hand.
Thanks every way.

Hi Dima:

It seems your Rails3 Branch is still unstable version for AMF.
I am using Ruby 1.9.2 with Rails 3.0.5

if i use gem install restfulx, i can't run "rails server" because of
FXML class error in rx_active_record.
Then i was trying to build a gem from your rails3 branch.
i am happy it works but the problem the amf is still having problem in
rails 3.
I look deeper to your codes, there's still lot of error in :
rx_active_model.rb and
rx_active_record.rb

I have tried to edit it and finally the AMF is working for me.
you can get the patches from files above here:
https://github.com/jackbit/Restfulx

or you can try to install the trial gem here:
https://github.com/jackbit/Restfulx/tree/master/pkg

I appreciate any feedbacks ;), my question is Restfulx-1.3.1.swc
support AMF?
how i can get guideline about this?

thanks & cheers,
yacobus reinhart

Hi Yacobus,

Thanks a lot for jumping in and fixing this! I'll pull your patches in ASAP. I meant to get to it earlier but just getting hammered with client work at the moment.
