How to use Rest Client with basic HTTP authentication?

If I have a protected resource that requires basic http authentication, how do I type in a URL and authenticate and get the result?

I pass basic http authentication using such type of url: https://login:pass...@www.mysite.com/ or http://login:pass...@mysite.com/

You can use the Auth tab and select BASIC from the drop-down.
