How to log the request and response to a file

Hi,

I am using RA to automate our api tests. And using extent reports to generate the log file. 

The log().all() method is working fine and prints the request and response in the console. But is it also possible to print/display all these informations to a log file? I am thinking saving the return value of the log().all() method to a variable. And use this variable to print the information to the log file that i am creating. But is this approach even possible? Or is there any other approach that i can use? Please let me know.
