For Example: Many of the Games have music playing at the back when you run and then u have option in settings to turn it off. One Game Would be Fall Down Delux where the Music Keeps playing until I press the Turn Off Button.
I have not been able to discern any telltale evidence of what's causing/playing the music. No notifications, not sure where to look for log files to examine? I have MWB installed....and the phone scans clean.
About a year or two ago, I decided to use Google Play Music as my "cloud host", so I took all of my old music that I'd had sitting on my computer, and uploaded it to Google Play Music. This is all my own purchased music, mostly originally from CDs (I'm older).
I now want to download some songs onto my Android device not simply so that I can listen to them, but so that I can have the .mp3 files. (E.g., to edit one down so it can be my wake up alarm, that sort of stuff.)
There is nothing in the first 2 directories, and it seems I need root access to get at the last directory. I read some similar posts that pointed to these directories, but some others that said this was for older versions. My version is 6.0.1984S.2219729. And, if it matters, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Android version 5.0.1
It's really obnoxious that these apps refuse to play with each other nicely. Google and Samsung just have to kiss and make up, because it's ridiculous that Google apps can only talk to Google, and Samsung can only talk to Samsung. I shouldn't have to scurry around looking for all this. Desktop / Laptop OS's don't have this problem. It's an invented problem to help ensure monopoly ecosystems and frustrated customers. :-(
Note that these files are named [some-id].mp3, like 124.mp3. So just copying them from this location will be difficult to determine what song they are. Not only that, as GiantTree mentions, the files are encrypted, so even if you copy them off, you cannot play them. It requires Google Play Music to play them.
if it's downloaded on internal, it's locked in com.music but you'll just see Music.id file and you cannot access that database without password. And its not encrypted if it's being downloaded to sd card just move from its Cache location and your good to go. Use star tag editor to add album art and tags .And songs purchased from Google aren't even .aac or .m4a just normal mp3 320Kbps 44khz .
This is from Windows 10After reading all the posts and digging through my S7 to find my music files I downloaded from Google play, I found the location where they are stored.Simply plug in your phone and change the setting (on the phone) to "File Transfer" (without the quotes). This will allow you to access both your files on the phone storage as well as the SD card storage. Open "This PC", choose "Card" then go to the following (for Windows 10):This PC\PhoneName\Card\Android\data\com.google.android.music\files\music.
The files are named or referred to as "MP3 Format Sound" and are numbered rather than the actual name of the song, i.e. "191". That's it! Don't forget to change the setting on your Google Play to save the files onto your SD card. The default is internal storage.Good luck!
Hey guys i recently got control4 installed into my house for music and i want to play music through youtube how can do that right now i can play radio is there anywhere i could play music through a android phone please help thanks
It's ridiculous that Control4 does not come with inbuilt support for fundamental features like Google Cast and built-in Alexa/Google Assistant/Siri integration (i.e. without having to rely on Echo devices).

While I see the value in those features the vast majority of Control4 projects still do not use voice control (likely not the case for end users here but end users here do not accurately reflect the average user). Having that built into the hardware increases cost so it's likely deemed not worth it at this point. It also would require the companies you mentioned being willing to play ball, which some are more than others. It also then opens up the privacy conversation which is an entirely different can of worms.
Me too, but this particular one toke me a while to find, they all where sealed in their plastics, had to find the one, install batteries, aim at the device and wipe it clean and it did toke some time ... In My Rack I have a 2u drawer that have all the devices in the rack, this one was local in my Livingroom ...
i have been using the VSSL amps with this functionality built in , but it would be a lot better if control4 would implement it on their amps or matrix switches as there are a few minor glitches with VSSL/C4 functionality. I agree that this is a major oversight on C4s part
Yeah audio casting similar to shairbridge would be great considering how many android users there are. I will say if you have an audio matrix, distributed video with downmixing and Chromecast Video device you can set the chromecast zones as audio and then cast to that using a standard video chromecast not chromecast audio.
So how is the Sonos app accessing the MP3s on my Android phone and streaming them over Wi-Fi to my Sonos speakers different then a 3rd party music MP3 app accessing the MP3s on my phone and playing them to my headphones (line in) or through Bluetooth to a speaker/ headphones etc.?
Hi. I do believe that Sonos did a big wrong by doing this to loyal users of there product. When they took away the ability for me to listen to music on a phone that I own on a speaker that I own! ...Quite simply in will know vote with my feet and my wallet and not buy anymore Sonos products. I hope anyone reading this will do the same. If the product gets boycotted ...they will fix there wrong.
It's not even Sonos' decision to do it, nevermind their wrong to fix. Google, like Apple before them, have made it impossible for files on their phones to be accessed by external devices due to security concerns. So go boycott Google.
Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.
Hi everyone! A few days ago, I've started having a problem with Spotify on my phone. Every time I try to play a song, it simply won't start, even if I try to start the song from a different point on the progress bar. However, I can still play songs on my laptop, TV, and Alexa device. I already have:
@gjohnatl, can you try disabling any battery optimization for the Spotify app, also make sure the app has all permissions enabled in the Phone's settings? If that doesn't change anything, can you let us know if you're having the same playback issues both on Wi-Fi and mobile data?
I don't have any battery optimization for the Spotify app and I have been using Spotify in the same phone for the past year, I don't know what happened all of a sudden and they songs cannot be played. I have tried wifi and my data but it doesn't change anything
Everything is working fine right now. If you've already tried a clean reinstall and it didn't work, my advice is to contact Spotify chat support and ask them to close your account and transfer your playlists, podcasts, and plan to your new account.
Hello, i have the exact same problem as this person had and i wanted you to help me transfer to another account because that seems to be the only solution to this problem. I hope somebody can help me with this.
We're here to keep helping you. However, if you've already created a new account and everything works fine on it, you can follow the instructions in this Guide and transfer your music collection over to the new account.
I also tried entering with a friend's account and it works just fine, i guess the problem is with mine only? But i use my same account on my computer and i don't have that problem there, only on my cellphone.
I just followed the steps for the clean reinstall and seems like everything got back to normal, i can listen to the songs again and also download them, everything i couldn't do before, now the app works just fine. Thanks for the guidance, in case anything else happens or the issue shows up again, i'll let you know to get more help.
On December 1, 2018, the Groove Music iOS and Android apps were retired. Your personal music files will continue to be available in OneDrive. You can keep listening to those files, and your playlists, by downloading them and using the Windows 10 Groove Music apps on PC, Xbox, or Windows Phone.
Your personal music files will still be available on OneDrive. You can access OneDrive online or through the OneDrive app on any supported device. To keep playing your music and playlists in Groove, download these files and use the Windows 10 Groove Music apps on PC, Xbox, or Windows Phone.
Has this problem ever been resolved? It seems lots of folks have had this same problem but I couldn't find a definitive reason why or a solution. I have a Pixel 4A 5G and just started a paid subscription a few days ago. I can listen for about thirty minutes or so, and then for no apparent reason, it stops. The only way to get it started again is to exit the app and then try again. This glitch needs to be fixed...please!
Thanks for following up with that information, @Marcia13. I've included troubleshooting steps below. Feel free to try out the most applicable for specific device and let me know what worked or what didn't work.
