I printed a Balance Sheet and Income Statement and wanted to save copies to a separate file to send to my accountant. When I hit "save" and gave the file a name; the "save as type" box only gave me the option of "Quick Report file (*.QRP). Then I saved it.

But when I try to open the file, I cannot open it and get the following message:

"Adobe Reader could not open (file name) because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

How can I save statements to separate files?  Thank you, Jimmy K

QRP is a file in the format used by Quick Reports.  As far as I know Adobe Reader doesn't know anything about Quick Reports.

You and your accountant will need to install a program on your computers that will allow you to view these files.

It just so happens that we have a program on our download page called QRPViewer that will allow you to view these Quick Reports files.

Registration of QRPViewer costs US$15.

Another option is to install 'CutePdf'. This free software will allow you to "print" your reports to '.pdf' format which will be viewable on most any computer.

I am not familiar with AVG but I am reasonably confident that the download from our website does not have a virus.
No one else has reported a problem and we get hundreds of downloads every week.
Does AVG give you the option to ignore the warning and continue as normal ??

Hi matthew

I have the database problem sorted - thanks.

Still having an issue with installing the QRP Viewer.  I got AVG to ignore the threat and stop automatically remioving the file. I took this screencast so you can see what happens - about 1 minute long. I had no mic so there's no sound but you will get the picture:

Not sure if you can help but I am at a loss at the moment.

Thanks,
Briege

What happens if you right-click on InstallQRPViewer and then select Run As Adminstrator from the popup menu?
