why cant i create a new account

hello sir,

could you please help me out with creating a new account.
i ve seen in the video it says we have to go to "maintain accounts" and then click on cash and press 'enter' and a new blank column appears,
but when i do the same a blank column does not appear rather it just highlights the cash as if to rename the cash account.

Go to the Maintain menu and select Accounts.  Press the <Insert> key to add a new blank record and then fill in the details.
