Backup + empty accounts

Hi there,

Problem 1

The folder which contains the data on windows 7 according to the FAQ is C:\Program Files (x86)\Responsive Software\Ledger\Database

However, when I navigate to that folder, it is empty! Having invested a lot of time and effort populating my ledger, I do not want to lose the data.

Problem 2

In the maintain account section, there are a lot of blank account which I cannot delete, they are appearing on my BS, how do I get rid of them??

Solution 1

Search your entire computer for the file WorkstationConfiguration.DB.  This is one of the files that make up the Ledger database.

This file will be located inside the folder containing all the other files for the Ledger database.

 

Solution 2

Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the <Delete> key to delete a record from the Maintain Accounts screen.

(Note that an account which is linked to a cashbook or has entries in it cannot be deleted.)
