Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time to join us at last week’s meeting. It was wonderful to come together to share energy, ideas, and commitment. It's what keep this work moving forward, and it was great to be in community with all of you, make new connections, and restore existing ones.

We’d love to see you at our next meeting on May 21 from 6 - 7 pm, where we’ll continue building momentum and taking action together. More details will follow, but for now, please save the date. This meeting will be both hybrid and in person.

In the meantime, there are several upcoming opportunities to get involved:

  • Stop Sand Mining - Join us at the Carver Earth Removal Committee on May 5, 3 pm, to make public comment. Help us collect signatures on postcards to legislators. Learn how to document evidence of sand mining incidents and train others to do so. Meet with others to make a difference!
  • Stop Solar Gone Wrong - Immediate needs for volunteer research, monitoring meeting schedules, and leading standouts. Opportunities to join a local group focused on getting solar out of our forests.
  • Forest Protection/Stop Reckless Development - Need for volunteers to keep sustainable planning in the forefront of the news and on candidates minds. Join us at the Plymouth Select Board Candidates forum in Plymouth on May 2. Attend future Select Board meetings. Form a group of concerned and engaged residents focused on this issue!

We are also looking for 1 - 2 writers to sit down once a week with Meg to craft letters to the editor on local issues to keep the public informed and up to date on what's happening in our community. Contact us if you are interested in this opportunity.

Please contact us for more details on any of the above and how to get involved. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your involvement truly makes a difference.

Thanks again for being part of this effort—we can only achieve our goals if we are all together.

Best,
