Vote Tom Siefert for the Environment

  Hi all, I’m trying to get the word out about Shutesbury’s town election. If you or anyone you know lives in Shutesbury and wants the real scoop on who to vote for Selectboard in terms of Environmentalism- please tell them to vote for Tom Siefert! Even if you don’t live here, this is important for all our communities! Here’s why: 

I wrote to both candidates if they will take a stance to protect our Forests from Big Energy. And Tom Siefert gave me a Resounding YES response! He wrote me back in detail, passionately proclaiming how much work he ALREADY has done defending our town and forests as a full voting planning board member in litigation against Cowls for our forests. He 

mentioned this AGAIN today at the Public Meet the Candidates event at our library.  He also wrote to me of his years of  experience working as an environmentalist. 

I don’t know why so many have signs for Walton. He wrote me back and didn’t answer the question and then for no reason brought up that he would work toward renewable energy solutions.  I never asked about that I asked about protecting our forests from Energy projects. He is a business guy and has no town board experience other than finance committee. He’s smug and confident that’s all. And I really fear that his ideas about creating revenue for Shutesbury May include devastating results for our environment.  

Please help me spread the word if possible!! Thank you
