Hello to our engaged community!
We hope you’re doing well & your 2026 is off to a great start. Community Land & Water Coalition is reaching out to invite you—our core volunteers and strongest supporters—to a new monthly Zoom call to bring together local advocates to plan, strategize and get takeaway action items to protect the Lands and Waters of Southeastern Massachusetts.
Thursday, February 19, 6 pm on Zoom
We’ll gather as a group to:
Get updates on current local issues and campaigns, including Stopping Sand Mining, Solar Gone Wrong, Wreckless Development, Protect Our Forests, Wetlands, Drinking Water and Waterways
Discuss strategy and next steps in each of our campaigns and provide key actions you can take to protect natural resources from these threats
Ask questions and talk through challenges
Join “office hours” with experienced environmental attorney Meg Sheehan who will be available to help us better understand legal process, public participation, and advocacy tools
This will be a supportive, practical space to learn, share, and stay connected—especially for anyone who wants to deepen their involvement. Our mission is to protect, preserve and steward the land and water resources of Southeastern Massachusetts - we are losing them fast. We do this through educating the public on how to get involved to make a difference on the state and local level to protect our drinking water, our forests, and our communities. Which is why we need YOU - to get involved, attend meetings, write letters, show up and let the elected officials know what matters to you most. Together, we can do this.
We hope the online format and evening time will not only make our strategies more accessible but also bring people together across multiple communities to fight together for our lands and waters.
We will send out the agenda and zoom link one week before the meeting.
Thank you so much for all that you do, and hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Katherine, Michelle, Meg, Rachel & the CLWC Community
