reset resp simulation

Hello

i have a problem with reseting my simulator.
i installed resp on a vmware with ubuntu 10.10
i am trying to use the pzip application the problem is i run the
simulation for the first time and it works fine but when i make some
changes like the memory or cach size or even the file name to be
compressed the simulator do not feel the changes even if i used the
reset() and exit() and relunch it again.
the only working way is to reset my whole system.

is there any thing else to do ?
