Hi

I am working on-site with locked down IE8... if that is relevant here...   it might not be,.

Issue.  I have a collection selected in the collection panel.  I click on "Share" and I am told that "One of more resources in this collection are not active and therefore sharing is prohibited" ...  but after clicking "OK" I am taken to some random page...   however I have just realised that the page it is taking me back to is the last page in IE8's history... which of course is currently, completely random for IE8 in ResourceSpace...

So my guess is .. that after pressing OK... it appears that I am redirected to history.go(-1) ... is that the case?   I presume that will not matter too much when History works in IE8... but it's disturbing because of the random nature... usually users are simply taken to the Login page.. as that is generally the last page registered in IE8's History ..

Hi

It has indeed. :-)   I have applied to my test server, tested in IE8 ... and upped the live server.  All of the issues relating to the IE8 history have gone .. and the address bar changes as expected.  The reported issue in this thread is no longer an issue - because history.go(-1) there the history is correct.

The users will be happy indeed.

There was also someone else on these boards who will find this very handy... who commented on another post about IE8.  I'll have a search.

I will have a more thorough evaluation over the next few days.. but I think the users will now be able to experience ResourceSpace as it was intended to be experienced by the development team....
