Very occasionally (like, we're talking every couple dozen files or so...it's not cyclical or anything...it's not always the nth upload) when I'm uploading to RS, it comes up telling me that a file or two didn't upload correctly and to check the log, and each time the log file says "invalid filename" (or something along those lines), but then when I try to upload those files a second time, they upload just fine.

RS never used to do this, so I'm wondering if there's something slightly "off" with the new upload functionality or something?

Douglas -- just a thought. Are you running the proper PHP version?

Good thought...I'll have our IS guy check the PHP version on our RS server. I bet that's an issue, though (although I can't imagine that it would lead to the "Replace File" missing file stuff that I mentioned in the other thread...)

K confirmed with the IS guy that we have PHP v7.2.24, so we'll see how/if upgrading to v7.4 affects things... :)

Today's only a half-day due to the Thanksgiving holiday, though, so this may end up being something that isn't done until we return next week...

Thanks! (and you'd think that important information like that would be somewhere other than just buried in a Google Groups post (and maybe it was and I just didn't notice or something)... :/ )

Well the upgrade went smoother/faster than expected and our RS is now running on PHP v7.4.19 :)

As predicted, the "Replace File" issue (see the other message I posted for details on that, if you're curious) was not affected by the PHP upgrade, and the "upload failed" issue happens so infrequently that I can't really reproduce it at this point...all I can do is watch the next time I have to upload a bunch of resources to the system.

But, at least everything else appears to be working the same that it was before :)

Was just a thought -- sorry it didn't help.

It was a great thought...I hadn't seen the PHP upgrade requirement when RS 9.7 came out, so neither me nor our IS guy even thought about checking our PHP version when we did the RS 9.7 upgrade.

It very well may have fixed the upgrade issue I've been occasionally having...I just don't have a way of knowing for sure unless it happens again in the future.

I really wasn't expecting it to fix the "Replace File" issue I'm having, since that appears to be a larger issue involving missing RS files and whatnot.
