I've just upgraded from Resourcespace 10.3 to 10.7 and I'm encountering two errors, one that I've seen others report and one that I haven't.

1. unexpected error - filename

Whenever I upload a file, I get this error:

Local time: 2025-10-20 6:7:40. filename.jpg: An unexpected error was encountered. Please check that the filename is valid. If the problem persists please contact your system administrator  []

The file has uploaded and appears in my collection, but having to click an extra 2-3 times is annoying and the error message is worrying.

I've seen other reports of this problem but none of the solutions in those threads have helped.

2. batch uploads only get half of the files

Whenever I upload a batch of files, only half of the files get added successfully.

I've tried different batch sizes and it's consistent - if I drag 10 files into the upload region, 5 are uploaded; if I drag 100 files in, I get 50 uploaded.

The same error message appears multiple times as the batch uploader uploads the files:

filename-01.jpg: An unexpected error was encountered. Please check that the filename is valid. If the problem persists please contact your system administrator

Once half of the files have been uploaded, I get a completion message:

Completed processing. Files: 20. Errors: 10

and the Log area at the bottom of the upload screen contains 1 line of "unexpected error" messages for each of the files that DID successfully upload.

Installation Check shows everything is fine.

I've tried this using PHP 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3; all three had the same errors and partial uploads.

I've tried with apcu enabled and disabled (since some other threads reported the problem going away after disabling php-apcu); I get the same errors and partial uploads either way.

Resourcespace 10.3 was working fine.

Can anyone suggest anything else I can do or try?

Thanks!
