Can anyone supply specific advice about which php_ffmpeg.dll to use so that FFMPEG and RS on Windows will work?
And where to get it? And whether it uses a specific PHP.

Unfortunately the wikis are not helpful and searching through these discussions has also not been very helpful.

If you have Windows 64 bit and PHP, and everything is working perfectly for you, please could you ZIP your php_ffmpeg.dll and upload it? And let me know which PHP version & Windows version you are using?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Heidi:

I don't understand what you are trying to do. I have a test setup of Resourcespace on a Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I don't seem to have a php_ffmpeg.dll file at all on my system.

I installed:

xampp from here: https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html

ffmpeg-20141011-git-b8a5599-win32-static from here: http://zeranoe1.rssing.com/chan-5973786/all_p21.html

antiword-0_37-windows.zip

ImageMagick-6.8.9-8-Q16-x64-dll.exe from here: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php

Here is some additional information:

ResourceSpace version6.4.5976
ResourceSpace Build5976
Server platformApache/2.4.10 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.1i PHP/5.5.15
PHP version5.5.15
ExifTool version9.72
FFmpeg versionffmpeg version N-66797-gb8a5599 Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the FFmpeg developers
ImageMagick/GraphicsMagick versionVersion: ImageMagick 6.8.9-8 Q16 x64 2014-08-26 http://www.imagemagick.org
Browser user-agentMozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.4) Gecko/20150507 Firefox/31.9 PaleMoon/25.4.0

I have not messed with this system for several months. Like I said, it is a test system.

Windows 2008 R2 64 bit
RS: 7.1.6513
IIS: 6.1
FFMPEG: N-71664-gcd69c0e
PHP : 5.3.28 (from php.iis.net)
ImageMagick: ImageMagick 6.8.9-8 Q16 x64 2014-08-26
GPL:
GPL Ghostscript 9.10
Exiftool: 9.73

What is not working for me is the image and short video clip previews. My understanding is that is FFMPEG. And I'm not sure why I though that PHP needed an php_FFMPEG dll to work for FFMPEG to work, but somehow I've learned that. Is that wrong?
Without the php_ffmpeg.dll I get no action from ffmpeg in the logs.

What I want are 2 minute video previews that can be viewed in any browser including an iPad.
And an image screenshot taken about 30 seconds into the preview.

And of course it was all working great a few months ago but since then I've tried to configure staticsync, no luck (and not required after all), and upgraded and the previews just don't work. That's why I though If I asked a precise questions about php_FFMPEG.dll, maybe somebody could answer.
