It is always a good idea to avoid spaces in filenames--use camel casing or underscores instead. I don't know specifically if Resource Space itself can properly handle spaces in file names but some of the "helper programs" such as Exiftool or ImageMagick
may have problems with the spaces depending on the OS you are running on. Likewise for some of the Resource Space add-ons. Scripting, whether Bash, Cmd, PowerShell or others, can also get more complicated to handle spaces in filenames.
In short, it might be a pain to rename all your resource files now to remove the spaces but it will probably save many headaches down the road.
