Hello,

I am wondering if I have been banned from the group since I am not getting any kind of feedback from my posts.
Anyone can point me to the differences between:

- collection
(I think this is just as an user-bag where to put a bunch of resources to do bulk actions with all of them)
- smart collection (theme)
- featured collection

Our current installation categorizes the resources within smart collection(s) but I can't get it work in the same way with the latest RS release.
The smart collections are shown in the permission list as collections, so I can manage the permission depening on the usergroup.
With featured collection I can build a nice category tree and categorize the resource in a nice way, but I can't see how to implment access control to the resources belonguin to one or more categories.

Please, some feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for the hands up.
I took a look on that few time ago, my problem is I am doing the categorization with a metadata field of type Category Tree, converted into a featured collection, which seems is not thouth to use as access control check.

At the reference, unfortunatelly Featured collections are only in the title. No further information.

I tried keep doing the categorization within themes, for the access control is fine, but I can't see how to manage the different options (themes and subthemes) if we need to create a new category and/or subcategory.

In the working installation we have (rev3726) themes and options from category field are linked, but I think they did a custom development mixing with the RS core since I can't make it work (link themes and options from the category field) in the latest RS release.

Thanks for any further ideas ...

Regards,
