Hi all,

I am trying to upload JPEG images to the RS but it comes up with an
error which says

Alert
Error processing file
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\KDAM\include\general.php line 67
mkdir(): No space left on device

Can some one help me to overcome this issue please?

I am not able to upload images at all.

RS is installed on Windows Server R2

Thanks a lot in advance.

Well, not to ask the obvious, but is there disk space left on the disk where your filestore is?

And has this installation worked before? If so, has anything changed?

Hi David,

Its the first time I have installed RS and everything is working fine
till today.

There is a huge space on the Drive where RS is installed.

I have also added some images and now when I want to add more images
its giving me the error.

Alert

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\KDAM\include\general.php line 67
mkdir(): No space left on device

Nothing has changes from the time I installed Resourcespace till now.

Can you please help me out?

Thanks,
Krishnam

Can you go into the team center and run the installation check to see if it reports any problems?

Hi David,

I clicked on the Installation Check link and everything is marked OK.

However I observed one thing.

When I am in Team Centre page I see a small link

Disk usage: View

When I click on view I get the below

Disk usage: 100% (available: 1.0 GB; used: 1.0 GB; free: 0 B)

It says - available: 1.0 GB; used: 1.0 GB; free: 0 B

Is this the reason why its not uploading the files? Guess I have used
the 1 GB space. But where do I increase this 1 GB space to 50 or 100
GB?

Please help.

Thanks and regards,
Krishnam

Is there perhaps a 1GB disk space quota set for whatever user the web
server is running under?

Sent from my iPhone.

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply.

I did not set any quota for the users on my web server any where.

Please advice.

Thanks and regards,
Krishnam

It may not be on the web server per se. I don't do a lot of work with Windows web servers, but I believe that for IIS there is some default user like IUSR_xxx that the web server process runs under. If there is a quota on the storage device, and this user has hit the per user limit, it would likely cause this problem. I'm looking at a Windows 2003 server, and it looks like the relevant setting may be in Server Manager under Storage>Disk Management then right click and select "Properties" on the drive in question and then click on the quotas tab. If a quota is turned on for the device, this is likely the problem.

If that's not it, I'm not sure what to tell you.

You are amazing David.

I thank you from the bottom of my hear for all the help.

You are absolutely right. The quota was set to 1 GB.

I removed the quota and now its unlimited.

Now I am able to upload images once again.

Thanks a lot for all the help and patience.

Thanks and regards,
Krishnam

I just had the same issue.
It seems that the value/hint on the Administration was not correct.
I've got about 4GB data on the server, but the value was
Disk usage: 97% (available: 8.9. GB; used: 291 GB...

After I set $disksize=250; in the configuration, the value is displayed correctly.
