Sorry, an error has occurred.

I managed to install RS and can upload photos and set meta data,

but after upload i get this error "Sorry, an error has occurred."

also when viewing images.

RS Log file is not helpful and apache error log shows nothing.

Where/how can i see the real error?

Have you checked you installation before doing anything else?

System | Installation check

Just add into your config.php for debugging:

$show_detailed_errors=true;

And the error notice should show up.

I have been struggling for days on this and pulling my hair out!

I tried Debug mode and that didn't help.

 Did not know about that setting! How are we supposed to guess those :-)

error was:  /include/general_functions.php line 1918: exec() has been disabled for security reasons

I can now fix it.
