Has anyone been able to successfully get the Google VR View plugin to work?

I have ResourceSpace 8.4 running on Windows 2012 server.

I installed the plugin and set the below configuration.

- Use Google Hosted VR View Javascript: False  I tried the 'Use Google hosted VR View javascript library?' to True but realized that we don't let ResourceSpace access the internet.

- URL to VR View javascript library: /vrview/build/vrview.js
I went to https://github.com/googlevr/vrview , scrolled down to Downloaded files and saved off the vrview.js, vrview.min.js, embed.js, embed.min.js, three.js, three.min.js, device-motion-sender.min.js. Created a folder in /vrview/build/ and saved all the files there.

- Resource types to display using VR View: Photo and video

- Enable Autopan: True
- Disable VR mode button: False
- Use original resource file as source for image preview: True
- Use original resource file as source for video preview: False

- VR View condition: I have not set this at all to attempt a preview regardless.

No other options have been set.

My first attempt was a video I made using a 360 camera making sure it was a equirectangular-panoramic image. I uploaded it and nothing happens when I preview. Just a static image.

Next I tried a genuine google vr image I downloaded from the web. Uploaded it and still nothing!

What am I doing wrong other than hosting ResourceSpace on a Windows platform!!! lol

Hi Jamie.

It's a while back, but I wrote a note to self as shown in the next paragraph. Sounds like you have really done the same as I describe, but maybe you'll see something that was missing. You should be able to browse to https://yourweburl/vrview/examples/index.html if all is done correctly. Hope it may help.

"All that is needed is to download the git-hub directory structure and place under the web root.
The src directory needs to be built as per the instructions and the results placed in a build directory under /vrview.
Alternatively grab the pre built files from the same link.
Don't forget permissions and SELinux. This is setup under /var/www/html/vrview."

The link I refer to in my note I'm pretty sure is the https://github.com/googlevr/vrview you mention - I think this is also referred to in the RS KB article.

For the settings, I use the following:

Being self hosted, you may have to keep it updated.

Cheers
Jeff.

I tested the examples at https://yourweburl/vrview/examples

Only working in Chrome browser. Not working in Firefox, IE11 and Edge (See screenshot below). All tested in Windows 10.

Are you getting the same result?
