posixldapauth plugin

Loaded plugin in latest svn 5221 and am getting error below when pressing Test button and once I exit the plugin options I can no longer open them as I get the same error... 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ldap_connect() in /var/www/resourcespace/plugins/posixldapauth/hooks/ldap_class.php on line 60

I can see where that function is called but I can't see where it's defined either??

Any ideas please??

do you have php's ldap extension installed and enabled?

Hmmmmm seems it wasn't enabled, it is now and that's cured it...now for trying to get it configured and working.

Very many thanks, I didn't realise it relied on an external libs.
