php-apcu installation fails

Hi 

I've tried several attempts at installing the apcu module including downloading the latest apcu version (5.1.21) but although the installations seem successful, the resourcespace installation check always reports php-apcu is uninstalled.

Has anyone had this problem, or got a foolproof method for installing and/or checking if the installation has worked?

I have a Bitnami stack. The last method I tried was from Bitnami's website:

but, again, what was apparently a successful install hasn't convinced resourcespace's install check.

Problem solved. I had added "extenson=apcu.so" to php.ini but somehow forgot to remove the ";" so the instruction was commented and not active. Doh!

I'll leave this shameful episode up in case it's useful to others - the installation code from Bitnami's website was the clearest I saw.
