problem to download all files of collection...

Hi, 

I have been facing a problem with resourcesapce . I have several collections in my system. I am unable to download all files at a time. I have to download several times to do download entire files of a collection.

Have you checked the RS logs or server logs for any clues as to what is happening?

Dear Mike

Actually I did not get any error message. I downloaded in zip file and when I extract it then show an error. I tried to win zip  , Win RAR also but all applications show the same error.

So the .tar file is corrupt. Have you tried downloading as a .zip file?

This usually happens when a file you've edited, normally include/config.php, contains a BOM header and this then makes it through into the TAR or ZIP file rendering it invalid. Make sure you set the BOM header option in your editor.

First things first --

Check Dan Huby's suggestion, which would eliminate the BOM header issue.

I believe are offered a download option - standard archive download, or TAR format. Standard gives you a .zip file.

I have the same problem with tar archives always being corrupt. I searched for all files with a BOM header and removed those (mostly in the /lib folder) that had it. Still have the problem, all tar downloads are corrupt. Zip works fine. If I can't get tar archives to work, can I at least disable this option or not make it the default?
