Just updated to new version getting cookie error.

I just updated to the newest version with a complete reinstall as i am just testing the software atm to see if it will work for me. I have a couple problems that i hope someone can help me with.

first problem is a cookie error.  This is what shows up. A cookie could not be set correctly. Please make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser settings. The top link is 

/login.php?url=%2Flibrary%2F&nocookies=true

I also have something else weird going on. I have installed this to an addon domain that I have with hostgator. I installed this to my addon domain folder lets call www.addon.com/resourcespace but after i try to log in it changes to my main domain at hostgator which is obviously one level up. So it now shows www.wrong.com/resourcespace which obviously gives me an eroor of no such page. 

Any help would be great.

We changed the way that cookies worked to make them more secure. Existing cookies may be causing issues. Have you tried clearing cookies in your browser to see if that solves the issue?
