I was curious if there was an easy means to including a dropdown to the search field to filter though collections. Any tips would help and thanks in advance.

The config options below will give you access to searching certain collection types in simple search:

# When searching, also include themes/public collections at the top?
$search_includes_themes=true;
$search_includes_public_collections=true;
$search_includes_user_collections=true;

Thanks for the reply. However, hitting a snag. I'm doing this:
$search_includes_public_collections=true;
$search_includes_user_collections=false;

And the public collection check box is not showing, but will show if both are true. Any tips?

Also, no one will have a private collection, any idea how to remove that automatically for each new user?

I can't seem to recreate that issue.

You can remove the collection bar for groups by using the permissions manager (Enable bottom collection bar ('Lightbox')). This will prevent users from having private collections.

"Enable bottom collection bar"? That's 'b' on the permissions right?
I can't seem to find anything else that relates to the bottom bar.
