We've been running an RS installation on CentOS for about a year in a
limited capacity. I have been doing some work to prepare for expanded
use, and need to get ufraw working for raw previews. Before I jump
into what is sure to be an incredible adventure of dependency builds,
I thought I would ask: has anyone else gotten ufraw working with
centos? Any advice on this?

Have you managed to get your dependancies built?

I need Gthread2.0 source for mine

glib2-devel package installation fixed the issue also I compiled ufraw
from this file

wget http://www.whitacrecomputers.com/linux/ufraw.tgz
tar xvzf ufraw.tgz
cd ufraw
./configure
make && make install

as long as you have make and auto make installed.

Thanks, Robert! I had actually pushed this aside for a while, but, with a few other package updates, I also got it compiled. Based on my notes, I thought I had installed glib2-devel, but apparently I had not.

link should work now & you need ffmpeg and qt-faststart installed for mov files i believe.   this is based on software from www.entermediasoftware.com  since I compile the dependencies for them.

ufraw is for raw pictures not raw video files
