Apache error - Permission denied: file permissions deny server access

I have installed the latest version of RS.

And I get a lot of Apache errors in the error.log
“Permission denied: file permissions deny server access” for the folder /filestore during creation of thumbnails when I upload files.

 

But in RS when I run the installation check, it says Write access to /home/biter/www/include/../filestore – OK

 

Seems like the previews are being generated, but are not showing up in RS, and I’m a little confused right now…

cd to where your filestore directory is. Then:

If Ubuntu:

chown -R www-data:www-data filestore

If Centos or RHEL

chown -R apache:apache filestore
