Hi everyone,

I've mentioned a project I've been working on here and there in some emails, but I wanted to pass on details to all of you, in case anyone is interested in getting involved on either end of the project.

I am working with the SoCal Makers Covid-19 Response Team, a group manufacturing and distributing PPE throughout Southern California and beyond. The group has around 20 FIRST teams (primarily FRC but some FTC and FLL) involved, as well as lots of other community volunteers. Makers are using their 3D printers to produce PPE and other volunteers are helping to distribute.

Get involved:

➡️ NEED PPE FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION OR BUSINESS? If you are providing health care or another essential service, our group can provide you with face shields and mask extenders FREE OF CHARGE! If you are in Southern California (or select other areas), we will deliver the items directly to you at no cost. If you are outside of Southern California, simply make a donation to cover shipping costs. ➡️Request PPE: socalcovidresponse.com/request

➡️ HAVE A 3D PRINTER AND WANT TO HELP? If you have access to a 3D printer, we would love to have you help the project. We provide material to you at no cost, as well as the files and instructions. We will also handle distribution if you are in Southern California or select other areas (though, you can sign up from anywhere!). If you are interested, please fill out our volunteer form or reply to this email and I can help you out. ➡️Start printing: socalcovidresponse.com/volunteer

➡️ NO PRINTER ACCESS BUT WANT TO VOLUNTEER? If you are located within Southern California, we could use your help preparing, packaging, and distributing PPE to our healthcare providers. If you're not in Southern California, please still fill out the form or reply to this email and we may be able to find ways for you to help. ➡️Volunteer: socalcovidresponse.com/volunteer

➡️ ABLE TO DONATE? I do not normally ask for money for anything through these emails. That's not what my resources are about. That being said, i you do have the means to help support the project, we are providing this incredible service to our essential workers at no cost to them, and rely on individual donors for success. If you are able to donate, we would greatly appreciate it, but of course understand if that is not a viable option at this time. ➡️Volunteer: socalcovidresponse.com/donating

Thanks in advance for your time reading all of that above! If you want to see more of this project in action, visit our website or our press page for more info. I'm also happy to answer questions over email.

Thanks, everyone!
Jared
