Dear all,
my name is Luca, I would like to read some data from my solar regulator
Citrin Solar CS 1.3. Is this regulator compatible with Resol VBUS/USB controller.
Do you have some experience with this regulator working with
Resol VBUS/USB + raspberry Pi?

I tried this hand made VBUS adapter without results. I'm not able to decode the signals.

I would like to try with the USB interface, probably the VBUS/USB interface can translate the messages?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

I don't know this controller , but it looks like it has a vbus interface.  What have you done to try decode signals on the pi ?

I use the official serial interface, I haven't tried interface to a PI

Hi Andy,
I connected the vbus to one side and the serial pins of Raspberry PI on the other side as shown on the diagram.
I configure the standard serial port of Raspberry at 9600 bps but I'm not able to decode the signal. "cat /dev/serial0 | ./vbusdecode" doesn't work.
Launching "cat /dev/serial0" I'm able to see something and I saved it on a file with a python script but vbusdecode cannot translate the messages.

There is more to serial comms than just the rate. IIRC the resol data
stream is 9600, 1 start, 1 stop, 8 data, no parity.
