Thefollowing is a list of colors. A number of the color swatches below are taken from domain-specific naming schemes such as X11 or HTML4. RGB values are given for each swatch because such standards are defined in terms of the sRGB color space. It is not possible to accurately convert many of these swatches to CMYK values because of the differing gamuts of the two spaces, but the color management systems built into operating systems and image editing software attempt such conversions as accurately as possible.
When it comes to building a custom color palette, you can either configure your own custom colors from scratch if you know exactly what you want, or curate your colors from our extensive included color palette if you want a head start.
Tailwind uses literal color names (like red, green, etc.) and a numeric scale (where 50 is light and 900 is dark) by default. We think this is the best choice for most projects, and have found it easier to maintain than using abstract names like primary or danger.
The package will auto-detect whether your terminal can use colors and enable/disable accordingly. When colors are disabled, the color functions do nothing. You can override this with a command-line flag:
Our world is saturated in color, from soft hues to violent stains. How does something so intangible pack such a visceral punch? This hour, in the name of science and poetry, Jad and Robert tear the rainbow to pieces.
To what extent is color a physical thing in the physical world, and to what extent is it created in our minds? We start with Sir Isaac Newton, who was so eager to solve this very mystery, he stuck a knife in his eye to pinpoint the answer. Then, we meet a sea creature that sees a rainbow way beyond anything humans can experience, and we track down a woman who we're pretty sure can see thousands (maybe even millions) more colors than the rest of us. And we end with an age-old question, that, it turns out, never even occurred to most humans until very recently: why is the sky blue?
Oil Plus 2C is a revolutionary wood stain and finish that colors and protects wood in one single layer. It is plant-based and contains 0% VOC. Each color can be mixed to create custom colors, allowing for endless color possibilities.
Digital images are great, but we highly recommend making real samples before committing to a color. Use wood sampling best practices like using wood from your project and mimicking the sanding you will use on your finished piece.

A color can be applied to an Ionic component in order to change the default colors using the color attribute. Notice in the buttons below that the text and background changes based on the color set. When there is no color set on the button it uses the primary color by default.
Each color consists of the following properties: a base, contrast, shade, and tint. The base and contrast colors also require a rgb property which is the same color, just in rgb format. See The Alpha Problem for an explanation of why the rgb property is also needed. Select from the dropdown below to see all of the default colors Ionic provides and their variations.
Colors can be added for use throughout an application by setting the color property on an Ionic component, or by styling with CSS. Read on to see how to manually add a new color, or use the New Color Creator below for a quick way to generate the code of a new color to be copy and pasted into an application.
Based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0), the criteria for level AA conformance requires a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, greater than 24 pixels or 19 pixels and bold.
