Below are the Description and Colors (backgrounds)

Vacant-Dirty     FA05E5

Vacant-Clean     C1DDE0

OTA     52963E     (Online Travel Agencies, we use MyAllocator with ONLY booking.com and Expedia)

Unavailable     FF8000

Balance Due     FF0D11

New Request     E8FF14

separator     66695F     (this is a visual tool to separate Singles and Doubles. (image 3) this makes room changes easier to juggle to decrease ResKey ALERTS of a bookings not posting due to a room change)

You gave me an idea. I totally missed making a color for special requests, and there are many.  Instead I have been using the stars, etc. In the end, I suppose it doesn't matter whether I use a color or a star, because I need to look and mark it somehow anyway.

Thanks for sharing!

I came from RezStream to ResKey, so I use a color coding system that is similar enough to be familiar to us. We don't use any OTAs as we don't want to pay their exorbitant commissions. We also don't have the system send out automatic emails. When we get an online reservation, we process a deposit if needed (only our cottages require deposits), send out the email then and change the status to deposit(cottage) or confirmed(room). We use BAL DUE to indicate a guest that has checked in, but still has a balance. We only do this for our corporate guests that have a soft departure date. Late Cancels indicate a guest that cancelled after the cancel deadline or that was auto-cancelled due to a declined Auth. "Penciled in" is used to block a room for a guest with a soft arrival or departure so that particular room doesn't get booked, but the guest isn't beholden to the cancellation policy if they don't need the dates.
