The film centers on the relationship of exotic dancer Angla and her lover mile. Angla wants to have a child, but mile is not ready. mile's best friend Alfred also says he loves Angla, and keeps up a gentle pursuit. Angla and mile bitterly argue about having a child; at one point they decide not to speak to each other, so continue their argument by pulling books from the shelf and pointing to the titles. Since mile stubbornly refuses her request for a child, Angla finally decides to accept Alfred's plea and sleeps with him. This proves that she will do what she must to have a child. She and mile finally reconcile, so he has a chance to become the father. The two have sex, then engage in a bit of wordplay that gives the film its title: an exasperated mile says "Angla, tu es infme" ("Angela, you are horrid"), and she retorts, "Non, je suis une femme" ("No, I am a woman").[3]

You could look in a dictionary and see that "faim" is literally "hunger". So yes, in French you "have hunger". It's a fixed expression that you can't really mess around with. If you want to say that you are very hungry, then you'll say "j'ai trs faim". But if you want to use tre, you'll have to use something other than "faim", like "affam", which is an adjective derived from faim.

"faim" is a noun. You can't use it as an adjective.
