Happy Vasant Panchmi !

Tomorrow, 4th Feb/2014 is the day of Vasant Panchmi.

Vasant Panchami, sometimes referred to as Saraswati Puja or the Basant Festival of kites is a Sikh and Hindu festival held on the fifth day of Magha (in early February).

For Sikhs, in the Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar, on the day of Vasant Panchmi, musicians start the day by singing Basant Raga.

Vasant Panchami marks worshiping of Goddess Saraswati and beginning of spring season.

The " Gayatri Mandir " , Swaran Nagari , Greater Noida is celebrating the festival, proramme details are as follows:

4th Feb / 1030am to 1230pm - Gayatri Havan and Sarasvati vandana

          1230pm to 0130pm - Lunch Prasadam

All the residents are cordially invited to attend the Pooja function.
