Dear Friends, Respected Elders and Lovely Children ;

Jet Airways just announced a great bargain bonanza - Air tickets to anywhere for Rs 5000 and what better than have a mega extended weekend starting Friday until Tuesday ! Well on more scrutiny - A day is just a day and Friday has a special meaning as it is followed by a weekend- saturday and Sunday. 

This however was not the case in old times when  a person's daily routine and freedom was controlled by the rulers and it depended on who you were - if you were a Indian then all days were same - the weekends were a thing of luxury for the british the Rulers. Today we have no rulers and have complete freedom so we have days , again some bad days like Monday but some good ones like Friday , Saturday and sunday  but there is a day which has its own special meaning, its glory and its place in history. This day is more meaningful than any bonanza day that Jet Airways can offer - This most happening day of the year  is our Independence Day !

Aao jhukke salaam karen

Unko jinke hisse main ye mukam aaya

khushnasib hota hai wo khoon

jo desh ke kaam aaya.

So not withstanding what jet Airways offers let us get together and celebrate Freedom by promoting brother hood and culture where respect , 

dignity and equality become a hallmark for patriotism. 

Let our Freedom be not demonstrated by a long weekend but by paying homage to and our duty towards our motherland .
