Here are the best hunting shows streaming now on Netflix. Whether you're looking for a fishing series or something more along the lines of mammals, this list of hunting shows currently on Netflix is regularly updated with new and popular TV series. What are the best hunting series to watch on Netflix?

Battlefish (Netflix, 2018) is an American fishing reality series. Over the course of the fishing season, tough men and women pursue lucrative albacore tuna in the competitive waters off the Oregon coast.

Keep in mind that Netflix is constantly adding and subtracting shows and movies, so the list as it appears now (in September of 2022) may look different in the future. We'll do our best to keep updating this post as shows are deleted or added. Let's start with some hunting-specific shows.

Our Great National Parks is a five-part Netflix documentary series about (you guessed it) national parks. But! The great thing about this series is that it doesn't limit itself to America's (obviously excellent) national parks. Instead, the series celebrates public lands across the globe, from Japan's islands to California's vibrant coastline to Kenya's famous Tsavo Conservation Area.

This series uses ultra-sensitive night vision and thermal cameras to capture some of the never-before-seen actions of our natural world after the sun goes down. Nocturnal predators, charismatic megafauna, and even the tiniest of insects are depicted in a way that gives us a unique glimpse into what happens after dark.

Southern Survival follows two experts, Daniel Dabbs and Brandon Currin, as they test out everyday items that promise help in survival or emergencies. They then curate the best, highest-performing gear and offer it up through BattlBox, their subscription-based service.

Alone follows ten new contestants each season made by the History Channel and distributed to Netflix. They're dropped off in the extreme wilderness and expected to survive as long as possible. It's a seriously intense show that teaches real survival lessons while also capturing the physical and emotional stress a person goes through while trying to stay alive in grim circumstances.

Bear Grylls brought this "choose your own adventure" style show to Netflix, and it's not a stretch to say there's never been anything entirely like it offered up on the streaming platform before. Bear encounters specific survival situations in the interactive series and then gives you a choice between a few different ways to handle them. Will Bear make it out alive? Only if you help him in the right ways!

More travel-based than strictly wilderness-based, Tales By Light follows some of the world's best photographic storytellers and brings their global journeys to the screen in a fascinating depiction of the planet we live on.

It is easy to start your search for titles and content you're interested in. Netflix's algorithm is smart enough to recommend shows and movies based on your watch history. More good recommendations for outdoors shows on Netflix will pour in as you consume more hunting and fishing shows.

So with All Hallows' Eve only a week away, we decided it was time to take a closer look at the paranormal reality shows that make those little hairs on the back of our neck stand up. We know not everyone believes in ghosts and ghouls, which is why we're examining both the series that take themselves seriously and the shows unafraid to have a little fun.

Both shows had spine-chilling locales, but their tendency toward hokey dialogue made them not as enjoyable as their competitors. Their passion and dedication were certainly present, yet, we never found ourselves invested in the TWC.

For a laugh-out-loud series that also delves into the world of the supernatural, catch the only two seasons of Ghost Brothers, which aired on Destination American and TLC, respectively, between 2016 and 2017.

When Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej embarked on their Unsolved series for Buzzfeed's YouTube page, they had no idea that they'd soon begin investigating whether or not ghosts are real. Being amateur paranormal investigators, Bergara and Madej's quest proves to be more a comedy than a serious ghost-hunting show.

Nonetheless, the dynamic between believer Bergara and skeptic Madej is wildly entertaining, which has allowed the content creators to bank seven entertaining seasons. (Don't forget, Bergara and Madej have a new series, Ghost Files, heading to their Watcher YouTube channel.)

If Kindred Spirits seems familiar to you, it's likely because you recognize stars Adam Berry and Amy Bruni from their previous ghost-hunting series, aptly titled Ghost Hunters. Putting a twist on the classic paranormal show formula, Berry and Bruni investigate homes to see if the undead dwellers are connected to the families that live there.

Though Paranormal State was a hit after its debut in 2007 on the A&E Network, the series may not be as fear-inducing on second watch. Ryan Buell and his Paranormal Research Society investigated several haunted locations over the course of six seasons, but unlike the ghost-hunting shows of today, there was little tangible evidence integrated into the show.

We honestly can't believe Scariest Places on Earth only had five seasons. Hosted by The Exorcist's Linda Blair and narrated by Teen Witch's Zelda Rubinstein, the Fox Family series had a scare-tastic formula, which included sending regular people into allegedly haunted locales.

It's safe to say that the original Ghost Hunters is one of the most famous paranormal shows in TV history. The show's initial run on SyFy included 11 seasons, 230 episodes and 10 specials. Ghost Hunters also spawned several spin-offs, including Ghost Nation, UFO Hunters, Ghost Hunters Academy and Ghost Hunters International.

Ghost Hunters may've launched the ghost-hunting genre into global fame, but it's Zak Bagans' Ghost Adventures that has perfected the storytelling style. With a documentary-film background, Bagans has curated 22 seasons of action-packed peeks into the world of the paranormal.

After 13 years on the Travel Channel, Ghost Adventures has since found a new home on discovery+, introducing a whole new generation to Bagans' investigations into famously haunted spots. If you're looking for a lengthy binge with lots of intrigue, Ghost Adventures is the show for you!

It's a show about couples in Britain who decide to retire/move to the European Continent. In each show, the couple looks at 3-4 houses, does something cultural, and meets another expat couple to discuss the local lifestyle. The host (there are 3 diff ones, incl one guy who is quite nice to look at) also goes off and does something cultural. It is sort of a househunting/travel show wrapped in one. Lots of interesting properties. The couples are likable, but I can't get over how much more haphazard they look than Americans do on TV "reality" shows. They look like they are headed to the grocery store to pick up milk for the most part. Sometimes their hair isn't even combed, or their dress is cut way too low or they are wearing that babyblue metallic eyeshadow from the 70s. That said, they are more interesting than the couples on US HH shows and you see more of their relationship. All in all, really enjoying it, on episode 14/20 of season 1. Don't know if there was a season 2.

Unrelated, also watched Big Little Lies. Very entertaining, except it was nearly comical how, every character in crisis went out to their deck to stare off into the ocean. At least once per episode.

France is very beautiful, and somewhat affordable too, I think. That one house on the river was what, 400 years old? Every generation adding some stonework or art or gardens. We throw everything in the garbage after 5 years then log on to Wayfair.com to redo the whole thing. Not the same.

On Friday, October 21st, 2022, Netflix released their newest paranormal reality series, 28 Days Haunted. Based on a theory by the late Ed and Lorraine Warren that it takes about 28 days to pierce the veil into the other side, three teams take residence in three different haunted locations for that duration.

Similar thing happened with Brandy Miller and Jereme Leonard, the team investigating the Madison Dry Goods store in North Carolina. Jereme is a demonologist and Brandy was the one with abilities. She had her limitations and what she was comfortable with as well, and Jereme tried to push her further. Then it ended up being Jereme who got the brunt of the negative energy from the spirits.

After all of these criticisms I mentioned, it may be surprising to hear me say that I liked the show. Ultimately, I had several favorite moments in the show. These are the moments that I think made the show stronger than the mainstream shows on the other networks and it gives me some hope that something different may be coming down the pipeline in mainstream TV.

One of which was Amy calling out the culture of toxic masculinity in the paranormal when Shane and Ray were trying to get her to do mirror scrying. Amy did not hold back and I actually applauded after she finished.

Finally, I want to applaud the cast for their work on the show. It must have been really difficult to separate yourself from your families, your job, and even social media for 28 days to film the show. Also, putting yourself out there in front of millions of people to get judged and criticized is not easy. You took a risk by being a part of this show, and I do think you did something great here. This show is a game-changer in the genre of paranormal reality entertainment. It laid a foundation that will hopefully continue to encourage a different approach to this stagnant genre.

Unlike straight-up horror, paranormal stories do something to a person's psyche that lingers long after the screen fades to black. The feeling is like no other, and before one knows it, there's something lurking behind the shower curtain or under the bed. So why do audiences keep coming back for more of the best ghost shows? It's hard to pinpoint, but what is certain is a new means of telling ghost stories seems to pop up every day, and they never lose audiences. On the contrary, with such a rich variety to chill the blood, if anything, paranormal shows are more popular than ever.
